The four contenders for October’s Etihad Player of the Month have been revealed.

David Villa, Alexander Ring, Frederic Brillant, and Maxi Moralez are all up for the prize following an excellent month for NYCFC.

David Villa

Scorer of NYCFC’s first-ever playoff goals and the constant captain throughout. Leading the attack that put together a comeback that came oh-so close to sending NYCFC through to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Alexander Ring

One of NYCFC’s most important players all season – Ring leveled up for his first MLS Cup Playoff experience and displayed immense leadership in keeping the team together through a difficult two-legged tie vs. Columbus Crew.

Frederic Brillant

The Frenchman continued his strong run of form in Maxime Chanot’s absence – becoming the reliable glue that held NYCFC’s defense together in October.

Maxi Moralez

The Argentine #10 was a chance creating machine in October setting the table for his teammates to help clinch the #2 spot in the league table.
