New York City FC goalkeeper Josh Saunders has been nominated for MLS Save of the Week for week one.
Saunders had six saves against the Chicago Fire, one of which has been nominated. In the fifth minute, the Chicago Fireâs David Accam latched onto a ball, dribbled through the defense and found himself one-on-one with Saunders. Saunders saved Accamâs attempt with a collapsing maneuver, preventing the goal.
Saunders goes up against San Joseâs keeper, David Bingham, in round one.
